Sometimes it takes a similar astrological spirit to capture some of the most famous personalities in the world. When History Channel was casting the part of one of most famous Gemini men in history, as President John F Kennedy (May 29, 1917) they turned to another Twin for the role bingo, Greg Kinnear (born June 17, 1963). As you can see, the physical resemblance is pretty convincing.

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, Lion Michael Kors (born August 9, 1959) happily discusses his passions, and fantasies…which involve plenty of Leos. “My dream dinner party is a fabulous birthday party for my fellow Leos,” he reveals. “Guests would include Andy Warhol, Jackie Onnasis, Alfred Hitchcock, Lucille Ball, Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Madonna, President Obama, Bill Clinton, Julia Child, Mick Jagger, and Whitney Houston.” Whew!

Pisces Weekend to Remember!

Not one, but two 1983 Pisces gals went down the aisle this weekend. Country star Carrie Underwood (born March 10, 1983) married her hockey player Gemini sweetheart Mike Fisher (born June 5, 1980). The couple held a ceremony for 250 at Greensboro, GA. On the opposite side of the world at Lake Como (and the Italian George Clooney’s estate) another Fish, Emily Blunt (born February 23, 1983) married an air sign too. The Brit celebrated her wedding to Libra actor John Krasinski (born October 20, 1979).

Karl Lagerfeld’s Astro Tribute!

When Virgo Karl Lagerfeld is obsessed with something, he’s REALLY obsessed. For the Chanel’s latest couture effort in Paris, he paid a tribute to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s (born on August 19, 1883) Leo prowess. The current creative head at the house erected a giant Lion statue in the midst of the Grand Palais that was ultimately measured at 45 feet high. There were more Leo themed tributes. The invites and the programs each featured the iconic Leo imagery while the program stated that the company was born “under the sign of the lion.” Need we say more?

Is Nicky Minaj a Next Great Sag Diva?

During the last few years, determined Sag ladies grabbed a hold of the Billboard chart (we’re thinking of Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Christina Aquilera). Is Sag Nicki Minaj the next great hip-hop superstar? The Queens native (born December 8, 1984) is a female rapper and there are certainly few active top players left in that genre. She wears colorful wigs, has a raspy Minnie Mouse kind of voice, and is not afraid to put on a tight leather outfit…or two. Besides Sun, Minaj has Mercury in Sagittarius making her naturally very adventurous and attention loving. Her Jupiter and Venus are in Capricorn indicate her need for a very specific kind of love and relationships, she wants to succeed and she wants her partner to help drive and inspire those triumphs. She’s not afraid to put on the crazy outfits thanks to her open Moon in Gemini and she’s very instinctive about her career decisions thanks to her Mars in Aquarius. Surely, there are plenty of moments of insecurity in Minaj’s chart but she has enough spark and swagger to reach the top. Staying there might be a whole other challenge.

Jemaine’s AstroStars Forecast: May 2010

When Mercury the planet of communication and commerce goes retrograde or backwards it not only affects us individually but causes all sorts of ramifications worldwide. This was certainly indicative when all European flights were grounded to a halt, causing chaos across the globe. Mercury is a fast moving planet and when it is in reverse four times a year it brings about calamities usually of a travel nature as movement is slower putting us into a state of flux. Communication confusion also occurs; conversations may get lost in translation or not reach the intended recipient. The consequences of these flight stoppages will not only have implications on the aviation industry for months to come but it will also have a global effect economically with a loss of revenue. Economic shake ups may be something we may need to contend with in the future, a knock on effect from Pluto the planet of regeneration in the business minded sign of Capricorn. On a lighter note this period is time to review and reassess the past, present and future.  Difficulties and delays come to an end May 11, releasing the anxieties and struggles of the past month.  Finally we can proceed to our destination or goal unencumbered by obstacles and it is only when overcome challenges can confidence be gained.
