All our Aqua friends must feel really special right about now. Not every sign gets a Spring Water that’s named after them, and Coca Cola Co. did just that. So, if you ever wanted to claim some Aqua qualities, you better drink this up!

SADLY they discontinued it. Ive been following this “source” of water since I fell in love with it in 1996 after buying some Pure American at Sams Club for my bosses.
Pure American was a black-labeled bottle with a sport cap, bottled by AquaPenn. The flavor of the water had me hooked instantly, I have sensitive taste and I never stopped buying it since.
Then there was a merger with AquaPenn and Danone (Dannon) water, then CCDA waters LLC took over, part of the Coca-Cola company.
Long story short, CCDA Waters LLC (Coca-Cola) changed the color of the label to the light blue instead of the black, but maintained Pure American’s name and souce for years, and was exclusively sold at Walgreens.
Within the last 2 years or so, the name (intellectual property) of “Pure American” was purchased by Walgreens. Problem is, the water SOURCE had changed, and is no longer satisfying AT ALL.
Walgreens source is Michigan, along with other brands like Absopure and Nestle, etc.
The original Pure American that was owned by AquaPenn and CCDA, was “BIG SPRING, BELLEFONTE, PA, which is the same source that eventually took the name of “Aquarius Spring!”
Once Walgreens acquired the “Pure American” name, CCDA changed their name to “Spring!” water and started marketing it. I was extremely HAPPY to see it at my local grocery store, I bought cases. It only lasted a few months. Walgreens already had the name “Spring” as well on their water, therefore CCDA had to abruptly change their product name once again to “Aquarius Spring!” water.
I assume with as many name changes, it was hard to keep a consumer base with the product. Still, that statement is wrong!
If you google the name “Aquarius Spring,” instant results come up across the board of how good the water is, how many consumers are interested in this product, and inquiries on where to buy it.
This is the ONLY water I am satisfied with to quench my thirst. It’s been announced in late 2010 that CCDA discontinued Aquarius Spring! to focus on their main brand, Dasani.
I do not like Dasani, because it is a strong taste, and upsets my stomach. It is also not spring water, its “drinking water.”
I’ve gone on the hunt for a replacement, buying every brand that I can find and reading labels, looking for the same source and so far I have NOT found anything suitable that can compare or even comes close to the flavor of the Big Spring source of Bellefonte PA!!
I wish that CCDA would continue Aquarius Spring! water, and wage a new marketing campaign. One would assume since name changes are costly, that CCDA would maintain their product, market it, and make their money back on the earlier mishaps. All you have to do is look at google, and see how big their consumer demand is for this product.
This is a huge loss for consumers, and I also believe a huge loss for CCDA/Coca-Cola because they do not understand how good this product is, how much loyalty this product has.
I hope, by some fluke, a CCDA employee can read this and realize the big mistake they did by discontinuing it, and hope they reconsider.
But corporate people always think they know whats best for their company….. without letting the people speak first.
R.I.P. Big Spring Bellefonte, PA Sourced water =[

I’ve purchased Aquarius spring water the past three years. It’s by far the best! I’ve tried them all. Once a week I would purchase three cases. My entire family loves it.Lately I’ve gone on a “hunt” trying to find it,only to learn on this website that it has been discontinued.I won’t buy Desani it’s terrible! I don’t think that CocaCola knows what a wonderful product they had. If they could see all of my friends going into my “frige” looking (in vain)for it, they would market it once again.

Thanks. You’ve answered my question as to why I can no longer find it. I will begin my search for another water as well. Don’t like and will not be purchasing Dasani.

I just found out about it being discontinued when my sister in law who runs a grocery store told me. I am so upset, it’s the only water I can drink that doesn’t taste like the plastic of the bottle or upset my stomach. I don’t even know what to drink now and I can only drink water. I can’t drink our well water because of the iron content. I hate the waters with minerals in them. Why do they always have to mess with something good. I will be on a search for something I can drink now. Sure wish they didn’t stop making it, a stupid decision.

Why is it every time you like and even enjoy something, some idiot out to save a buck or even just make himself look good to the company has to ruin it. Aquarius Sring is the best water out there. My husband has terrible stomach problems and the only water he likes and can tollerate is Aquarius Spring. I swear everytime we find something no matter what it is they change it, don’t companies get it, IF IT IS NOT BROKE DON’T FIX IT, leave a good thing alone. Another thing Aquarius had goning for it is its bottle design it has a much bigger opening than any other brands which made drinking easier. Oh well onward and upward, Coke you really messed this thing up.

I agree with all of the above comments. I fell in love with Aquarius Spring Water from the very first bottle and has been hooked on it ever since. I did’nt know until reading the above comments that it has been discontinued and that is really discouraging. It’s the only bottle water I can drink without a very unpleasant after taste. If at all possible, please bring it back. Everyone that I gave a bottle to raved about how good it was. My husband is not a water drinker and even he raved about how good it is. Please Coca Cola listen to the people and bring Aquarius Spring Water back!
