Astro Crack: Taurus Rudolph Valentino, Gary Cooper, Jimmy Stewart, Orson Welles, Fred Astaire

It’s doubtful that any other sign can offer up as many cinematic male movie legends as steady Taurus icons. They’re outspoken, gritty, lovable, controversial, masculine, and soft all at the same time. And their films just keep on giving!

Rudolph Valentino (born on May 6, 1895): The Heartthrob Taurus. He could make a female fan swoon and faint with one itch of an eyebrow. Valentino’s early death only made him that much more legendary and timeless.

Fred Astaire (born on May 10, 1899): The Hyperactive Taurus. He created magic with his dancing feet in sweeping musicals and epic romances. And all real Bulls have an incredible musical sense.

Gary Cooper (born on May 7, 1901): The Intellectual Taurus. Sure, he mostly starred in Westerns. But he also had two shiny Oscar statues on his mantle and counted Ernest Hemingway as his best friend. Like any smart bull, he loved fiery political discussions.

Jimmy Stewart (born May 20, 1908): The Sharp Taurus. Joan Crawford once called her co-star an “endearing perfectionist”. He loved his handkerchiefs and yet he was a respectful military man. A frequent Hitchcock collaborator, Stewart was man’s man who wasn’t afraid of a sharp suit.

Orson Welles (born on May 6, 1915): Genius Taurus. Not many creative types can claim Citizen Kane as their first big production. Welles was a fast-talking, multi-tasking, and stubborn creative type and those qualities proved to be his greatest assets and biggest hurdles.
