This past year has brought us a brand new set of successful Astro twins, who don’t only share a birthday. They are both experiencing the most successful career streaks in their lives as well. Libras Frieda Pinto and Lindsey Vonn (both born on October 18, 1984) have not met each other, work in completely different industries, and yet both look like they’re destined for superstardom during the course of the next year. Pinto of course made her screen debut in Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire last year and then dazzled on the Academy Award red carpet in her John Galliano gown. Few weeks later, big guns started calling and the Indian standout quickly booked roles in two projects helmed by Woody Allen and Julian Schnabel. Meanwhile, Vonn has quickly become the most successful American woman skier in the World Cup history. She is the first Yankee to win back-to-back overall World Cup championships and she capped off an amazing season with two gold medals at the world championships. Blonde and photogenic, she’ll be one of the most prolific athletes during 2010 Winter Olympics. Ironically, Pinto’s two film projects will be released next year two, making the career path of both stars all that more parallel.
