Dear Crackheads,
I’m currently in a midst of a very major emotional recovery. I’ve just spent four days at couture in Paris last week and I feel like I’m just slowly landing back to Earth. I gasped at Dior, cried at Chanel, clapped from joy at Gaultier, and found a possible Oscar gown at Elie Saab. This was my first complete couture experience and I’ve only had one modern living inspiration. Libra Dita Von Teese (born on September 28, 1972) usually comes to the City of Lights with a suitcase full of fabulous clothes and acts like she owns half of France. I’m not quite sure what she does these days but her coffee table book is on top of my collector list, Capricorn Christian Louboutin makes shoes for her with a smile and Sag John Galliano adores her. She told me that it’s routine for her to be sewn in her couture candy so I blatantly imitated Dita during my trip to the Chanel show. Gemini Kanye West liked my outfit so much he invited me for a tea at the Meurice where he stays with his caravan of Louis Vuitton luggage. But I personally always book a room in George V because they have arguably the most breathtaking flower arrangements in the world (by Virgo Jeff Leatham). They had to almost drag me out of my room on the checkout date! But that’s the wonderful thing about the couture week. There’s no rush in between shows. I shopped at Lanvin, I ate my fair dose of rose flavored macaroons, and even had time travel to Centre Georges Pompidou. And while I did all of that, I had hours and days to dream about all those divine dresses. Now all I need is Dita’s personal seamstress to stitch me into my dream closet gems.
