Rachel McAdams is clearly one of the most acclaimed and sought after young actresses in Hollywood and there are few facts about her that are absolutely foolproof. She made everyone cry in The Notebook, scared the living hell out of Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls, and charmed all in The Wedding Crashers. She’s a proud Canadian Scorpio born in London, Ontario on November 18, 1978…Or was she?
See, until recently the actresses’ official press birthday listed virtually everywhere and on sites like IMDB was October 7, 1976 making her a Libra and 32. Few years ago, McAdams decided to take a break from film only to come back with more than few projects on her platter and a new biography. After not working for almost two years, McAdams suddenly became two years younger. She recently celebrated her 30 candles, but when the star is this private and reclusive with the press you have to wonder where the truth lies, especially in youth obsessed casting offices of LA. And if she’s in fact 32, why would she decide to change her sign as well. Did she always feel like she was a Scorpio rather than a Libra?

IMDb had McAdams’s DOB wrong, but when presented with a photostat of her birth announcement in the Dec. 7, 1978 edition of the London Free Press in which her DOB was given as November 17, 1978, IMDb finally changed it on its website.
Interestingly, the Associated Press has always had it correct: November 17, 1978.
