Oksana Baiul and Maggie Gyllenhaal seemingly have little in common. One was born in Ukraine, the other is a native New Yorker. Baiul’s claim to fame was winning a figure skating gold medal during the most televised Olympic event in TV history. Gyllenhaal was nominated for a Golden Globe for being spanked by her boss in The Secretary and held her own in the biggest hit of the year, The Dark Knight. One is famously an orphan, the other is part of a large, supportive family. Baiul is dating; Gyllenhaal is married with a child.

But of course with all the deviation between these two, there is a very big similarity in their bios.
