On paper these two Aries songbirds are not yet in the same league. Mariah Carey (born on March 27, 1970) is the best selling female artist of all time, while Leona Lewis (born on April 3, 1985) released her first album in the US earlier this year. The latter in fact has been criticized by some music purists are being a “Shake ‘n Bake” diva, who’s been commercially manufactured for chart topping success. But these two have plenty in common. Though born fifteen years apart, both chanteuses catapulted on the music scene with the set of curly hair and a gigantic voice. Carey’s breakthrough single was Vision of Love, Lewis’ Herculean hit was Bleeding Love. Astrotheme, a highly popular French website that breaks down sign percentages of every chart based on planetary positions and angles, calculated that the two women are mind numbingly alike. Lewis is 36.8% Aries while Carey is 36.5% of a Ram.
Even more startling are their charts. They mimic each other in nearly every planetary position, except for the moon:
| Mariah Carey | Leona Lewis |
| Sun: Aries | Sun: Aries |
| Moon: Sagittarius | Moon: Virgo |
| Mercury: Aries | Mercury: Aries |
| Venus: Aries | Venus: Aries |
| Mars: Taurus | Mars: Taurus |
What does this all mean about their personalities? Aries Sun is usually a necessity for a legendary diva with a bankable voice. Think Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, and Diana Ross. Carey’s Sag moon suggests independent action and a bit of emotional frailty and ethical conscience usually missing in Aries people. Lewis’ Virgo moon hints that she’s more of a social loner who always seeks perfection and barely overlooks any details. Both singers have Aries Mercury that bodes spectacularly well not just for their voices but in their relationship with the media as well. They also instantly appreciate sense of humor and lack patience for those who are slow and unproductive. Aries Venus usually signals a need for a fiery but faithful mate, while Taurus Mars is quite possibly the best possible positioning for entertainment giants. Madonna, Michael Jackson, Dion, and Tom Cruise are just few of the superstars who are extraordinarily determined yet steady at the very same time.
What’s in store for Lewis? Her chart points to a career that’s as accomplished as Carey’s. She’ll most likely win the same two Grammy awards Carey won at the start of her career in February (Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance). If she follows the advice of her current visionary boss Clive Davis (another Aries born on April 4, 1932) she should have glorious next couple of decades. Carey meanwhile is thinking about family at the moment, though she should consider a duet with Lewis as well. It might be good for both of them.
